Linda Mae (Adkins) Layman

   Of Alum Creek, WV, departed this world on January 6, 2021 at the age of Seventy-Four years, Seven Months & Ten days. She was born in West Hamlin, WV to parents: Lissie and Alia (Richmond) Adkins. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband: David Patrick Layman, six brothers: Eugene Adkins, Jimmie Adkins, Jackie Adkins, Tommy Adkins, Samuel Adkins, and an infant brother, four sisters: Betty Adkins, Elizabeth Adkins, Barbara O’Connor, Dottie Satterfield and one niece: Lisa Adkins.

   Those left to cherish her memory include two step-children: David Layman and Adam Layman, two nieces: Rachel (Greg) Bays, Robin (Billy) Elkins, three nephews: Keith (Arlene) Evans, Justin O’Connor and Kenny (Lisa) Adkins, two sisters-in-law: Janet Adkins and Rhonda Adkins, five great nephews: Dustin Elkins, Blaze Scraggs, Todd Gilkerson, Steven Gilkerson, Josh Adkins, four great nieces: Mikki (Ryan) Shoemake, Anastasia Gilkerson, Cassi (Timothy) Sergent, Shea Bell and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

   A Memorial Service will be conducted 1:00 P.M, Friday, January 15, 2021 at Ferrell Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, WV with Rev. Rick Cooper officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M, to 1:00 P.M, Friday, January 15, 2021 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home.
