Obituary

Herman Eugene Hicks, 58, of Huntington, passed away, Thursday, September 11, 2008. He was born September 10, 1950 in Huntington, a son of the late Herman and Norma Smith Hicks. He retired from the Corps of Engineers in 1990. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Herman is survived by his wife, Linda Camp Hicks; four children, Richard Hicks and Stacey Hicks of Huntington, Cortney Hicks of Charlotte, NC; Tyler Hicks of Royal Oak, MI; one sister, Jeanette Farnsworth of Huntington; two brothers, Ronald (Mary) Hicks of Huntington, Michael (Tara) Hicks of Hurricane and one grandchild, Jocelyn. There will be a private graveside service held at a later date. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
