Obituary

 Ralph Gum, 84, of Huntington passed away Monday, June 2, 2008 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 11 am Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Bias Chapel Cemetery, Milton, WV with Father Jeffrey Queen officiating. A procession will leave Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington at 10 am. He was born December 26, 1923 in Barton, WV, a son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth Rexrode Gum. He served in the US Navy as a boatswain mate during WWII. He was a retired brakeman with the C & O Railroad. He is survived by three daughters; Kathy D. (J.D.) Neven of Jacksonville, FL, Karen (Merrill) Wood of Wheelersburg, OH and Claudia Grayson of Huntington; four grandchildren, Angela, Lisa, Natalie and Brandon Ralph; eight great-grandchildren and a special friend Kimberly L. Jones. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington
