Obituary

Leonard Lee Messer, 56, of Huntington passed away February 5, 2007 at his residence. Lee enjoyed music & arts, and was an active member of the Apostolic Life Cathedral, in Huntington. He was born December 7, 1950 in Cabell County. Lee is survived by his mother, Frances Blankenship of Huntington, One daughter, Debbie Jean Messer and one son, Robert Messer both of Zanesville, OH. Also surviving are two sisters; Peggy Waugh and her husband Michael of Huntington, and Terri Ellis of Charleston. One brother, Steven A. Gayhart, two grandchildren; Summer and Savannah Mefford, and his longtime loving companion Brenda Lee Cope Messer. He was preceded in death by his father Leonard Messer, and Bob and Emma Jean “Jeanie" Bias whom he affectionately knew as “mom and dad”. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00pm Monday February 12, 2007 at the Apastolic Life Cathedral with Pastor E.S. Harper officiating. Funeral Arrangements are under the care and direction of Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
