Richard Baumgardner

Richard Baumgardner Jr. 93, of Huntington, WV passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, November 27, 2022. He was born June 6, 1929, in Huntington the son of the late Richard Baumgardner Sr. and Lucy Dunkle Baumgardner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a very special grandson, Luke Simon and a brother, Willard Baumgardner. He was an Army Veteran. Richard was a retired lineman for Appalachian Power Company. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 65 years, Nathalena “Nat” Salmons Baumgardner; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Mark Simon of Huntington; son, Todd Baumgardner of Melbourne, FL; granddaughter, Leah Capehart and husband, Carter of Huntington and his dog, Kasey who he enjoyed walking for several miles every day. Services will be private for the family at a later date.
