William "Bill" Curtis Ramsey
(March 25, 1939 - May 6, 2018)

Lance Corporal William “Bill” Curtis Ramsey, 79, of Barboursville, passed away on May 6, 2018, at St Mary’s Hospital in Huntington. Born on March 25, 1939 in Macfarlan, WV, he was a son of the late George and Bonnie Lemon Ramsey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Farley, and his brothers, James and Roydice “Bud” Ramsey. Bill was devoted to a lifetime of service, beginning with his time served in the U.S. Marines from 1958-63, then on to TV repair house calls for various companies like Magnavox, and most recently, Meals on Wheels as a delivery driver. Bill was deeply loved by so many friends and family and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Marcum of Kermit, WV; his children, Shelia (Mark) Olson of Palmer, Alaska, Jerry Ramsey of Huntington and Eva Ramsey of Barboursville; 9 grandchildren, Stephanie, Jennifer, Heidi, Melissa, Robin, Joel, Charles, Nathan, and Sarah; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, with Mr. Dallas Moore, officiating.
