Wanda "Gail" Elenich
(January 2, 1939 - August 14, 2018)

Wanda “Gail” Elenich, 79, of Big Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 14,2018. Gail was born January 2, 1939 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Woodrow and Blanche (Finley) Hawthorne. On October 22, 1981, she married Ronald T. Elenich of Reed City. For many years  the couple served locally as missionaries to small churches, nursing homes, and veteran’s homes.  After Ron retired from Evart Products, they continued to serve, spending much of their time near Huntington, WV. She is survived by her sister-in-law Sandy Hawthorne; several nieces and nephews, step-children, and step-grandchildren; many friends, and special friends Ken & Rene Otto and family. Gail was preceded in death by her husband Ron in 2006, her parents, brother Jerry, and sister Judy. Interment services for Gail will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, West Virginia, at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, August 20, where she will be entombed next to her husband.  A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date for this area.  Care and arrangements are entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
