Danny Michael Moore

Danny Michael Moore, 66, of Huntington, passed away on Monday, May 1st, 2017 at the Hospice of Huntington. Born on March 8, 1951 in Huntington, he was a son of the late Bassett William Moore and Bessie Thompson Moore. Dan retired after 15 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a loving, hardworking and selfless family man who, along with his wife, was active and passionate about animal rescue. He is survived by his wife, Desiree Karla Sykes Moore of Huntington; his sons, Travis Cody Moore of Huntington and Justin Bradford Goodwin, also of Huntington; sister, Sharon (Stephen) Stark of Kenova; niece, Sharlie (John) Collins of Huntington; nephew, Chas (Heather) York of Huntington and many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. The family will welcome friends on Friday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the funeral home, with Pastor Dallas Moore, officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington.
