Carolyn Sue Evans
(May 29, 1937 ~ June 2, 2017)

Carolyn Sue Evans 80 of Huntington, WV passed from this life on Friday, June 2, 2017, to the next to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Dr. Jerry Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m. She was born May 29, 1937 in Sutton, WV the daughter of the late Spurgeon and Anna Ramsey White. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Eileen Smith, Marge Dennison, Connie Lorentz and Ramsey White. After graduation from Sutton High School as valedictorian, she attended Huntington Junior College of Business where she earned an associate degree in executive secretarial studies. In her younger years, she enjoyed painting, playing the piano, and playing bridge and tennis, but most especially found joy in her grandchildren of whom she was most proud. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Lytle Gene Evans, her children, Dr. Pamela Stallo and her husband, Dan of Hurricane, WV; Phil Evans and wife, Annette of Huntersville, NC and three grandchildren, Sean Stallo of Hurricane, Karli Evans of Miami, FL and Parker Evans of New Orleans, LA. She is also survived by a special nephew Corley Dennison and wife, Betty. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Friday Simpson for her years of compassionate care.
