Obituary
LOLA ELKINS,
73, of Huntington, wife of David Elkins, passed away on Monday, June 23,
2014 at Heritage Center. She was born on August 16, 1940 in Reedsville, GA,
a daughter of the late Joe and Betty Eason. In addition to her parents she
was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Carter. In addition to her husband
she is survived by her children Gregory (Debbie) Elkins, Jeff (Christina)
Elkins, and Jennifer (Thomas) Bryant; grandchildren, Justin, Stephanie, and
Joshua Elkins and T.L. (Sarah) Bryant; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Caden,
Nativia, Braden, Aniyah, and Landen; sisters Johnnie Will Kessner and Helen
Wade; and a host of friends. Mrs. Elkins was a member of the Macedonia
Baptist Church and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. She was
retired from the Corps of Engineers. Funeral services will be held on
Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Terry
Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens,
Barboursville. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the
mortuary.
