Frances H. "Francie" Kahle, 51, 
						of Huntington, wife of
						Dr. E. Bowie Kahle, professor of biological sciences at
						Marshall, died Sunday, Jan. 9, at her home.
						Mrs. Kahle, who received an undergraduate degree from
						Concord College and graduate degrees from West Virginia
						University, was a retired West Virginia University 
						professor
						of extension, serving as youth and 4-H agent in 
						Monongalia
						and Cabell counties from 1970 to 1984.
						She was a member and deacon of First Presbyterian
						Church in Huntington, a docent of the Huntington Museum
						of Art, a member of the Marshall University Faculty 
						Wives,
						PEO and the West Virginia 4-H Foundation.
						She was preceded in death by her father, John Clownie
						Hight, and recently by a brother, Walter Hight, and her
						mother, Katherine Redmond Hight, all of Athens, W. Va.
						She is survived by her husband; one son and daughter-
						in-law, John and Bridget Kahle of Columbus, Ohio; two 
						sis-
						ters, Dr. Mary Etta Hight of Huntington and Libby 
						Angelici
						of Ames, Iowa; two brothers, Richard Hight of Bluefield
						and Charles Hight of Athens, W. V
