Obituary

Christine Ann Jones, 37 of Huntington, returned to be with the Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at her home after battling a long illness. Christine was born September 19, 1971 in Holden, WV the youngest child of the late Joe Edward Jones Sr. and Anna Bell Kelly Jones. In addition to her father she was greeted in Heaven by a daughter, MyKaéla Cleage and a sister, Oretha Jones. She had been a teacher in the child care profession for a number of years before returning back to school where she received an Associate Degree in Business and Medical Assisting and she was just four classes from a degree in Computer Science. Christine is survived and sadly missed by her mother Anna Bell Jones of Logan, WV; three children, Marcus Isiah, Shawnice Danielle and Jennifer Dominque Jones and her step-daughter, Toni Rané Patterson all of Huntington; four brothers, Freddie Jones of Holden, WV, Willie Edward Jones of West Logan, WV, Joe Edward Jones Jr. of Houston, TX and Lloyd (Victoria) Jones of Huntington; three sisters, Darinella (Francisco) Hernandez, Carolyn Aretta Jones and Katherine Lynn Jones all of Huntington; a special sister-in-law, Thelma Cleage and a special cousin, Dawn Curry, both of Huntington. She will be missed by a host of nephews, nieces, a great nephew, friends and especially missed by her fiancé and best friend, Michael Anthony Cleage of Huntington and her loving dogs, Smokey and Bandit. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Melin Moses and his staff. A Time of Remembrance will be held from 11 am to 1 pm Friday, January 16, 2009 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home.
