Skanes, Zenos - Date of Death: Saturday, 6/15/1996

Zenos Skanes, 70, of Kenova, formerly of Barboursville, died Saturday, June 15, 1996, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 1996, at White Chapel Christus Mausoleum Chapel, Barboursville, by the Rev. Harry Scarberry.
Burial will be in White Chapel Christus Mausoleum, Barboursville. He was born July 7, 1925, in Melissa, Cabell County, W. Va., a son of the late Roy and Effie Merritt Skanes.
He was employed with Aristech Chemical, Kenova. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II; a member of American Legion Post No. 93, Huntington; and V.F.W. Post No. 8429, Kenova.
 Survivors include two sisters, Lillian Chambers of Huntington, and Alta Hardin of Vinemont, Ala.; and two brothers, Otis Skanes of Frostproof, Fla., and Minnis Skanes of Savannah, Ga.
 Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 17, at Henson Mortuary, Pea Ridge. Procession will leave for the cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 18.
