Chambers, Albert Leslie - Date of Death: Thursday, 1/3/1980

Albert Leslie Chambers, 77, of Barboursville Rt. 2, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 1980, in St. Mary’s Hospital.
 Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 1980, at Dillon Chapel United Methodist Church, of which he was a member,
by the Rev. Mac Thomasson and the Rev. John Smith. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. He was born July 29, 1902, in Lincoln County,
 a son of the late Christopher C. and Laura Ballard Chambers. He was a retired employee of the Chessie System in Huntington and was a policeman for the Village of Barboursville.
 He has resided in Cabell County for more than 70 years. He was preceded in death by two children, Karen Lou and Larry O’Neil Chambers.
 He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Nash Chambers; one daughter, Mrs. George (Ruby Lee) Porter of Milton; three sons, Donald, Boyce and Michael Chambers, all of Barboursville,
10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Grandchildren will be the pallbearers.
The body will be taken to the church one hour before the funeral. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Wallace Funeral Home.
