Blankenship, Reece - Date of Death: Friday, 3/21/1941
Reece Blankenship - Eighty-eight years old, retired Cabell 
county farmer, died at the home of his son, Cline Blankenship, 4274 Price Creek 
road, yesterday at 10 A.M. 
An illness of one week preceded death. Burial will be in Crook’s Chapel cemetery 
tomorrow after services at the chapel at 2:30 P.M. with the Rev. J. N. Harold 
and the Rev. C. H. Marsh, pastor, officiating.
 The body will be at the Cavendish funeral home until the services. Mr. 
Blankenship’s grandsons will be pallbearers and his granddaughters flowerbearers 
at the services.
 He was a lifelong resident of the county. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. 
Mary Dillon Blankenship, a daughter, Mrs. Maud Sullivan, of Huntington, four 
sons, Carl, C. G.
 and Audley Blankenship of Huntington, and Cline Blankenship, a sister, 
Miss Fannie of Lakeland, Fla., 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
 Pallbearers will include Richard, Le Roy, Mitch and Woodrow Blankenship, 
Bennie Bunn and Roy Sullivan. Flowerbearers will include 
Frances, Mildred, Catherine, Shirley, Mary Elizabeth, Kathleen, Maxine, Jewel 
and Joann Blankenship, Bessie Earls and Hazel Bunn.
